Tai-ji Initial Movement

Tai-ji is the first movement in the Yang 1-24 Kung style. It helps in understanding the balance necessary for executing other aspects of the form and offers guidance on how to achieve this equilibrium. Moreover, Tai-ji introduces you to the three vital components of the form that contribute to relieving tension, managing blood pressure, and reducing stress.

It is highly recommended that prior to embarking on learning the other sections of the form, you acquire a thorough comprehension of how to align your body to gain these benefits by synchronizing the three essential elements: rhythmic relaxation, deep breathing, and fluid meditation.

Due to the simplicity of performing Tai-ji, executing it correctly provides insight into how the rest of the form should feel when done accurately. If, while engaging in the remaining parts of the form, you do not experience the same sensations, you are likely making an error.
