Riverside Fitness and Wellness:
Experience the benefits of practicing Tai Chi with our on-site Yang system. Improve your physical and mental well-being. Currently, classes are being held on Tuesday, and Thursday evenings at 6 pm, and Saturday mornings at 9 am at the Riverside Fitness and Wellness Center located at 7516 Hospital Dr. Gloucester, VA 23061.
Before entering a class, you must have taken a semi-private lesson called an introductory lesson. The purpose of the class is to familiarize you with the format of class and answer any questions you may have.
Membership in the club is not required.

Master Rodney Batiste
Master Batiste is an experienced Tai Chi instructor with a deep understanding of the Yang system of Tai Chi. He was first introduced to the art of Kung fu in 1967, in New York, at the age of fourteen in Sifu Allen Lee’s “Northern style of shaolin Kung fu” where he received his first black belt in the art of Kung fu. In the 70’s, while in the military, he received his second black belt in the “Jow Ga” system of Kung fu under Sifu Dean Chin in Washington D.C..
